![]() I thought since it will be a long holiday weekend this is the perfect time to start with a fresh FULL backup. I have one desktop that shares the storage space with the server which is the 5% usage. When I logged back in this morning on the web site dashboard it shows I am only using 5% of our storage. I knew that it would take a while for their servers to update and recognize the change. I made 2 local backups to external hard drives and then yesterday I completely deleted the cloud backups from Carbonite before noon yesterday. I attempted to update the retention settings as it suggested however, that didn't work. Storage Quota Exceeded for Carbonite Safe Server Backup Opens a new window There was a link in the message that took me to this support article: It eventually filled up our storage with bad incremental backups and I got a message on the server that said the storage quota was exceeded. The problem is that the backup is ignoring the retention policy because the last full backup failed. Even though I'm pretty sure the issue is on their end. ![]() It appears I will not get any help from them. I finally gave up because I had other things to take care of. I tried to call the support number and was on hold for over 30 minutes with no idea how long I would be on hold. It's 2 days later and I have received nothing but silence. The latest email from them was on Wed 12/28 at 10:20am and I replied at 10:47am asking them to schedule an appointment to call me. "I have taken ownership of your case so you can expect a faster turnaround for any follow-up emails you provide." then when I reply I get no response or I get an automated email asking if my issue has been resolved. I have attempted to reply to their emails to schedule a time for someone at Carbonite to call me. I completely understand that but then it just gets ridiculous. The issue started back in late November and according to an email from their support it would require a phone call with them to resolve. I am having a technical issue with Carbonite Safe Server Backup.
